PPEL: On the ballot Sept. 14

There’s been talk about the Woodbine Community School’s Physical Plant and Equipment Levy, better known as PPEL – good and bad. But, according to Superintendant Tom Vint, the school depends on the levy, and programs, technology, transportation and more may suffer if it’s not renewed during the Sept. 14 election where it will appear on the ballot.

Other years, like this one, one of the teams dominates their rival to set the bar high for the rest of the season. Nik’s Knacks: Saved by the (non-existant) bell

I would stare at the clock. Sometimes intently. Sometimes not. Sometimes I would be just plain mad because I didn’t have time to finish what I was doing. However, I knew that when I heard that sound – I only had two minutes.

  • Chamber Connection: The ‘Buzz’ on sustainable

I’m a “word person”. . .someone who naturally thinks in the context of words and related abstract pictures rather than (yawn) numbers. (A sneaky way to admit I stink at math!) I pay attention to word usage and overusage – those words employed so much they become “buzzwords.”
